The impeller is the core hydraulic component of a slurry pump, responsible for transferring mechanical energy from the motor into the slurry medium.
During operation, slurry containing solid particles flows through the impeller passages at high velocity, making it one of the most heavily worn parts in the pump system.
In mining and mineral processing applications, impeller wear directly affects pump efficiency, head performance, and overall system stability. High chrome alloy impellers are commonly used in abrasive conditions to improve wear resistance and maintain hydraulic performance.
As a critical spare part, the impeller plays a key role in determining the service life and efficiency of the entire slurry pump system.
